Meet Your Maker!

My name is Justin and I live in southwest Ohio with my wife and two children. My interest in making knives came from my experience at my day job working in an auto manufacturing plant. After I got the idea to make my first knife I was instantly hooked. Since then I have continually worked on how to make one of the oldest tools better. 

I've always felt that there is something special about making things. There's simply not enough makers out there. This was obvious in my knifemaking as well, as I would have people constantly wanting to get in the shop to make their own blades. Then I had an idea, why not try to make it accessible for everyone to take part in the Makers process and create a way for people to build their own knives and setups how they see fit? So I started Makers Knives. 

I set out to make a system that was totally modular and customizable, without losing what it means to own a handmade knife. So I found a way to maintain that balance. From blade selection, to sheath colors, and accessories we've taken the guess work out of the process.
